your hearing. atthe end of the day unless u are deaf u cant turn ur ears off. but then again i think it could be touch. because ur always touching something and can feel it. even if you are standing in the middle of a room with nothing in reach, u can still feel the floor or your weight on the floor. and unless ur naked u can feel the clothes on ur skin. so i would say touch is the mosy difficult to control.

Things in the sub conscious mind are usually beyound the control of the person who has it. I highly recommend you get firefox ( http://www.firefox.com ). Its free, less virus prone, less buggy, standards based and if you report a problem, chances are there will be a fix for it in a few weeks.

Go to this Microsoft web site. Windows operates on explorer, so you always need some version on your computer if you're going to run the Windows operating system.

This will tell you how to revert back to version 6. I don't think you can just remove Internet Explorer and have Windows still work on your computer.

As a general rule, I wait until Microsoft releases Service Pack 1 before trying out any new major product version they release. I have wasted far too many hours of my life trying to get a system back up and running to the previous version of something after installing a new version that has so many bugs it crashes my system and renders it useless. Many times, I have had to reformat the computer when a simple roll-back to the time before installation resulted in more problems than the initial issues, so please don't let that feature prevent you from backing up your files, since it doesn't always work, especially for such highly integrated software as Internet Explorer.

If you do decide to try it, please at least back up all of your files to an external source first (such as CDs, thumb drives, or an external hard drive if you have one). This should include at least the contents of your My Documents folder, your Internet Explorer Favorites/Bookmarks (open IE, click File, Import/Export, and choose Export, and save them to an external source such as a floppy or CD instead of to the default location), your e-mail messages and settings if you use Outlook Express (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/270670 for how to do this), your Outlook data if you use Outlook (see support.microsoft.com/kb/287070 for this), and any other program data that you may use. If you use IncrediMail, there are instructions on their web site on how to back up and restore data. Make sure to write down or print out any email order confirmations for software that requires registration keys.

Yes, I think you should. My husband and I did, and it seems a lot faster, even though the buttons and toolbars are a little different. Anytime you come across upgrades, check them out, and install. It might work out for the best!

you might have spyware or junk files. Please do the following:

1. Download and install CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/

Run all scans and clean.

2. Download Ewido, http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ , install, open program, check for updates, restart computer, press F8 before windows logo appears, select safe mode, open Ewido, run full system scan. let Ewido delete all it finds.

I totally agree with you. Britney obviously has a lot of issues she needs to work on, but the paparazzi and media has been so hard on her. Their comments have been rude and mean. For someone going through a publicized divorce and living her life under a microscope no wonder she is having such a hard time. Whenever there is a celeb controversy, television networks, such as E channel, blow the situation out of proportion because they know people are curious and willing to use their time and money to find out what's going on. For example, when Anna Nicole died, it was the most talked about event when other things were going on in the world. If people continue to buy into all this celeb nonsense that they think is entertaining, then this will never stop.
If Britney wanted to be left alone, she wouldn't be sucking on Sean Preston's pacifier in the middle of a Robertson Blvd. shopping trip. Celebrities know that while the constant scrutiny is frustrating, it is just another negative in a sea of positives that come from being rich and famous. Those that get annoyed by it avoid places like Hyde, Robertson Blvd, The Ivy, etc. Some even move, like Julia Roberts did (to New Mexico) and spend most of their time living quiet, peaceful lives, and return to New York or LA when they have to work. Stars like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton, to name just a few, not only thrive on the attention, but alert the media when they are going out. Bottom line - if she wanted to be left alone, she wouldn't be behaving the way she is. I'm a huge Britney fan, but I don't see why so many others are blinded. If you want her to get help and get better and come back for us, stop being an apologist and excusing her behavior.

After I've browsed for a short while in Internet Explorer, I find that the windows stop loading any pages; every window I have open suddenly takes ages to load anything, and when it finally does it is the 'cannot display webpage' screen. I need to quit all the windows and start from scratch, and the the pages load fine again.

My pc is on XP and is only a few months old with no other issues.

I am not willing to switch to another browser; i want to fix the problem with this one.

Any suggestions?

i'm using it for almost one and a half months and i can say it worths trying. if you are happy with mozilla firefox, you'll love the IE7. but the problems are;

since it is beta version, some sites don't support that version. i had just seen one site for this period, and it had given an error like "we don't support the browser you are currently using". the reason was easy to find, browser was just a beta version, which has too much possible security losses, and i was trying to reach my bank account.. i haven't had any problems other than that for 1 1/2 months.

my vote is yes, give it a chance, i bet you'll like it.

Its layout is a bit different from previous versions of Internet Explorer, and since it is still in beta stage, there are still bugs to be addressed. Currently I'd say that Mozilla Firefox is a better, slightly faster %26amp; more stable choice if you want a different browser. Otherwise, I would stay with Internet Explorer 6 until 7 has all the kinks worked out of it and is officially released.
I have used it for some time, %26amp; i recommend not to download it untill it comes out of beta. Althought it has more options like TAB system %26amp; inbuilt search, but i still recommand to stick to IE6 for the time being.

Note: if you want to download %26amp; try make sure first learn how to Install/uninstall (its not normal uninstallation) the IE7 in case u need to. otherwise you would endup lossing ur IE.
It's good to download and use if you're using genuine Windows XP software. But if you're not you won't get very far.

I have seen 2 cracked versions of it though. 1 has no "tabs" feature, the other crashes your IE6.

If you wan't something as close to IE7, without downloading and installing IE7, download the new Yahoo toolbar. You'll get the tabs and some of the security features installed in IE7, plus a handy atispy toolbar. :D

It is according to the OS you are using. I have the Vista Ultimate and the IE7 is great with it but has some problems on the XP OS.

The Firefox is a great browser but a lot of website block people from viewing their sites with firefox so if you really want to see all the sites then you need to use the IE 7.

Your lucky, was reading computer magazine and this was one of the questions.

This is caused when IE7 is installed over an existing bt broadband installation.

The easiest thing to do is un install BT'S broadband helper software.

My buddy has Windows Vista installed, and just last week Internet Explorer stopped working; it wouldn't connect to any pages. The network appears to be fine to me. Other programs are using the network as well.

Today, Mozilla Firefox also quit working for him. Again, other programs are still using the internet just fine.

Is it possible that these web browsers somehow became corrupted? I can't seem to find out what is wrong, I even disabled the firewall that was open to no avail. I also reset the IP address.

IE 7 is still not considered safe to use.

It still has bugs which doesnt allow IE7 to function with High Interactive (HI) software. Some of the behaviors observerd are that few applicatons may fail to start, hang or crash within the IE7 container as a result of backward compatibility issues with IE7

IE7 has not been certified with Standard Interactiveity (SI) software though it seems to function.

Most likely because you (or a Google software like the Google Toolbar) had set the default search engine to Google before installing IE7b3. I am happy with Firefox 2. I also have Opera but I find it is not quite as good as Firefox. I only use Opera if there is a glitch with Firefox but that is very rare. I intend staying with Firefox.

Unless you have to have IE, I would recommend a better browser such as Firefox.

It's odd, I type "google.com" and just to

even get an initial connect to the web page takes up to 20 seconds.

Type "http://google.com" and I get an instant connect and load.

Why not make Google your home page? Just add the complete URL (http://www.google.com) and you're good to go. Even by omitting the www. from the address you're just making the browser work a little extra to find the proper protocol.

When you use google.com, your computer has to make a few inquiries to get the actual address. If you type the full address (including the trailing slash), it only has to make one inquiry. (Leaving off the trailing slash, as in http://www.google.com, makes it two inquiries.) Evidently your path to your DNS server is slow, so the difference is very noticeable.

Using IE, how can I set it so that a second window it opens as a tab, not a brand new window?

There are several ways to get a page to open in a new tab instead of a new window:

1) Use CTRL-T to open a new tab, then navigate to the page you want to load (using a typed web address, or favorites/bookmarks)

2) Press the CTRL key while clicking links or click on the link with the middle mouse button. Click any tab with the middle mouse button to close it.

3) Press ALT+ENTER from the address bar or search box to open the result in a new tab.

On www.espn.go.com on internet explorer it says it is running realtime but it is not updating, but on safari internet browser it does, i have been trying to figure this out for months does any one know how to fix this problem?

Firefox should have imported your favourites during the installation of Firefox. You should not use both browsers at the same time, only add bookmarks in one of them (Preferably Firefox).

Copy the following folder to the other computer:

C:\Documents and Settings\[yourusername]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

The Profiles folder has a file called bookmarks.html this is your bookmarks file. I suggest you copy the whole folder to retain the same settings on the other computer.

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.
